This is an original 5 piece Renaissance outfit that was created by me. I used basic patterns and refined them to fit my vision. Inspired to capture the feel of different time periods, this dress contains the Romance of the Victorian Era, with the Elegance of the Renaissance Era, and is touched with a bit of spice of a Pirate wench with a twist of Goth. Each piece is crafted and sewn by me using a black cotton satine blend for the skirt, a combination of brocade, taffeta, OR upholstery fabrics for the front and tail of the bodice, and black suede for the back of the bodice. A contrast fabric is also used in the front of the skirt. The bodice is finished with black rattail for the ties. The cuffs are made with a combination of matching materials. They serve the practical purpose of holding the wide bell sleeves in place while eating or any other necessary freedom of movement. The shirt is made of a crepe satin material. The whole ensemble is made to be form fitting. The bodice is adjustable, and there is room to alter the hem of the skirt if needed. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.
